Our love for coffee started with different beginnings but one thing we all have in common here in Mindanao Coffee Roastery is that we have this blazing passion to help bring the best of Mindanao coffee to the whole world.
In the past, the Philippines was one of the top producers of quality coffee beans internationally and somehow we lost that prestige as the years went by. It is our vision to bring the Philippines back to its former standing in the coffee industry.
Our Journey
Mindanao Coffee Roastery came to be through the convergence of our community’s dreams— to bring Mindanao coffee to the world. We are a visionary lot composed of farmers, roasters, baristas, and chefs, all of whom are advocates of fair trade and sustainable coffee in the Philippines.
Mindanao, containing the five highest mountains in the Philippines, is home to the country’s best-tasting arabica coffee beans. However, the struggle within the coffee industry in Mindanao is immutable, especially at the farm level. We aim to shift this holistically, inclusive of everyone involved in the coffee value chain.
As we share our piece of homegrown coffee, we ought to also show the world that it is attainable to enjoy high-quality coffee with sustainability in mind— taking that extra mile of sourcing it ethically and holding in high regard all the hands that play a part in a coffee bean’s seed to cup journey.
